CAA Data Protection

The UK Civil Aviation Authority (“CAA”) recognises the importance of privacy protection, and acts in compliance with all applicable privacy laws. Please review this document carefully. It contains information regarding the terms of collection, use, disclosure and storage of personal information submitted through the CAA Internationals Training Management System (TMS) and your usage of the TMS.


Why we process your personal information

The CAA I Training team collects and stores your name, contact details, job title for the purposes of booking and attending training courses at CAA International. Training courses can be booked by the delegate or on behalf of the delegate (i.e. Organisation)


Processing of your personal information is required for the performance of a contract with you/or in order for us to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract with you.


We will use your email address to provide further, related, information and ongoing news updates in relation to identified area of interests, such as regulatory updates or new courses titles. The processing of your personal data is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests and does not affect your fundamental rights and freedoms as a data subject.


Who see your personal information and why

Information provided electronically by users of CAA’s TMS will be utilised by CAA International, and shared with its contracted agents. Envisiontel, who are based in USA and Totara, who are based in UK for the purpose of booking, coordinating and managing delegate attendance to training courses.


How long we keep your personal information and why

CAA’s International TMS maintains personal information that you voluntarily submit electronically on one or more secured servers. CAA International will keep delegate details for 7 years after this date all personal data will be deleted.  


Your individual rights

You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted by you and contained within the TMS is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. CAA International takes all reasonable steps to ensure that information collected within the TMS by its employees and representatives is correct, however, CAA will rely upon you to contact us to update or verify your personal information and to confirm your willingness to receive communications from CAA International.


You may withdraw your consent at any time and can contact CAA I via email directed to: indicating whether you wish to withdraw from all participation in the TMS.
